Victor Valley College Foundation

The Victor Valley College Foundation changes lives by helping people to access educational opportunities in the high desert. The Foundation provides scholarships to hard-working students and supports innovative education projects at Victor Valley College. This year the Foundation is raising funds to support student success at Victor Valley College. Support from charitable contributions and fundraising events, such as the High Desert Economic Summit, will increase the amount of tutoring available to help students master the subjects they are studying.  Whether they are mystified by the quadratic equation, have trouble harnessing the power of the written word, or need to practice hands-on technical skills, a little extra tutoring can make all the difference.

Victor Valley College serves more than 15,000 students each year most of whom come to the college without access to academic support structures at home.  Many are the first in their families to attend college.  More than 75% of the student population at Victor Valley College comes from low-income families and many are here to break the chains of poverty. Education and training afforded to them at Victor Valley College is their best hope for a bright future.

As our keynote speaker often says, "there is no such thing as a poor, educated community."  Helping Victor Valley College students learn valuable skills and complete their educational path is not only important to them, but critical to the prosperity of our region.  Your participation in the High Desert Economic Summit will pay it forward in a way that pays dividends to us all.
